BATI Investigative Interview & Interrogation Training (40-Hours)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This 40-hour course is designed to introduce law enforcement personnel to a method of interviewing
skills grounded in scientific research and evidence-based application.

Core components include the cognitive interview, rapport-building strategies, structured questioning
models, and scientifically supported methods for evaluating verbal and nonverbal behavior.

This class emphasizes practical application through scenario-based exercises and case studies,
ensuring that participants leave with tools they can apply immediately and confidently in the field.

BATI’s training emphasizes the accuracy, reliability, and ethical integrity of interviews conducted
during criminal investigations, witness interviews, and suspect interrogations.

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This class is open to all sworn & civilian investigators, Parole & Probation Agents, Arson
Investigators, Polygraphers, Background Investigators, Internal Affairs Investigators & Patrol
Officers – If you are conducting interviews in-person, or over the phone, this class is for you! This
course is a continuous curriculum for career education.
