DESCRIPTION:Link to Flyer\n \nThe NMLETP utilizes highly-qualified instructors.\nAll certified law enforcement officers are eligible to attend.\nAll courses and trainings are provided at no cost.\nAll courses are accredited by the New Mexico Department\nof Public Safety Law Enforcement Academy.\nThis training assists law enforcement personnel in developing the skills necessary\nto successfully operate radar speed measurement devices. Students will gain a\ncomprehensive understanding of the motivation, basic methods, principles, and\noperation of radar technology used in speed enforcement. Training topics include\ndetailed mathematics and scientific principles for successful use of radar and laser\ntechnology, information about moving and stationary radar, legal issues, and preparing\nfor court testimony. The training is designed for law enforcement personnel, including\nbut not limited to field officers and first-line supervisors.\nPREREQUISITE AND REQUIREMENTS: Students should bring a LIDAR unit\n(in-car and/or hand-held), reflective vest, and note taking material\n \nClick here to Register\n
